The Goddess Poem
you taught me how to love again
and gave me back my smile,
you tended to my wounds
and nursed my inner child
you thawed me from my numbness
with your body heat,
transformed my violent nature
into a man of peace
you breached my barricades
when no one could get near,
you turned the other cheek
while others ran in fear
indeed you saw the good in me
and nurtured it to life,
you turned a fearsome dragon
into a gallant knight.
